Motherhood

Biblical Motherhood full of Sanctification and Eternal Reward

Discipleship

As a Biblical Mother, one of the tasks we are given is to train up our kids in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). We are tasked in that discipleship to have: dedication, instruction, discipline, love and to be the example of Christ to our kids.

Engagement

As a Biblical Mother, we are to avoid "checking out," of course, as with anything we need to set clear expectations as to when we need breaks to restore ourselves to continue mothering in the way that brings Glory to God, however, we are not to participate in escapism or restoring to things that can alter the way we think in order to run away from our roles and responsibilities.

Abiding in Christ

We must be abiding in Christ as biblical mothers. It is not humanly possible to mother biblically on our own strength, meaning we HAVE to rely on the Spirit to guide and encourage us on this journey. When we are in the word, it becomes a fountain of life for us and ultimately allows us to pour out to our kids what we have been filled up with.

Where Can I look for Biblical Encouragement?

The Book of Proverbs

Proverbs is filled with wisdom of all kinds especially for mothers. Proverbs Chapter 31 is a great place to start.

The Book of Psalms

I love how Psalms shows the value God puts on Mothers. Check out Psalms 113:9, 1127:3-5

The Book Deuteronomy

I just LOVE Chapter 6, it is a beautiful picture of doing Life together with your kids. Training comes from being together, check out 6:6-7.
