Kids- Can do Attitude

unnamed-1

Words that drive this momma crazy is: I CAN’T! In our family we really try to encourage phrases like, “Can you help me.” I am even ok with the phrase, “this is hard.” See I want to encourage my kids and everyone I know to persevere.

Common phases I like to say to my kids when they become frustrated or things are not going their way is, “do you have another ideas?” “Is there different idea you have?” “What else could you do?” I hope by saying these phrases I am encouraging my kids when things are tough that they can try another way.

Colossians 1:11-12

11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[a] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.

I believe that life is hard, and we do need help from time to time. Sometimes that help comes in physical help and sometimes that help comes in the form of encouragement.

Father God, I pray my children learn to persevere no matter what the circumstances. I pray they will have endurance to run the race in front of them. I pray that they will see situations as opportunities and not road blocks. I pray that they will look to you Lord to guide them and influence their paths. Thank you Father for having the master plan for their lives and loving them even more then I do.

Join me in praying that our children and even ourselves will be encouraged to persevere even when life gets tough!
