Moms prayer for Strength

unnamed-1

I heard a couple quotes this week:

“Pick your battles,” and the comedian who I was listening to then went further to say, “Instead of telling yourself: pick your battles, what you should really be saying is ‘pick the battles you want to loose.'”

Interesting when you think about it, if you are viewing what choices and actions you make as a battle, you are prioritizing which ones you are hoping to win and which ones you are disregarding and ultimately loosing (in a way).

Now not everyone views life as a battle field, and most certainly do or did not. BUT as I was pondering this comment I began to think of the larger picture and how battles are part of a war. And I am as a parent, part of a war for my children’s heart. See there are many battles, against many things, not just their hearts but their minds (what they feel and believe), their honor and integrity (what they do), their eyes (what they see and remember); I could go on and on about the different parts of life that we are fighting the battles about.

It makes me tired, sad, and discouraged to think about all the battles ahead of me. So my prayer as a mom today is to be given the strength EACH day to fight for my family! (KIDS and HUSBAND and ME!)

Let’s Battle!

Nehemiah 4:14 says, “14 After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”

God, I pray you would give me the strength to fight for my family EACH and EVERY DAY! God, there is a HUGE war out there for each of my children, for my husband and for me and I pray that I will remember why I fight! I will remember not do be afraid because you are GREAT and AWESOME!! And to hold on to the truth that we know the VICTORY is yours! AMEN!

JOIN ME! IT is time to battle, to battle in prayer! We need to find our strength renewed each day in the VICTOR! Pray with me!
