During Thanksgiving and Holidays we tend to be reminded to show our thanks and gratefulness. I want to pray that I will continue to pray for my children to have grateful hearts.
I find when I am correcting my kiddos behavior I tend to use phrase like:
“Lets have a happy heart,” OR “I need you to have a sharing heart,” OR “Are we showing a thankful heart?”
As I am praying for my children I pray they will show and grow a heart of gratefulness.
Hebrews 13:15 says, “15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”
Lord God, I pray that you will invade my children’s hearts with the thankfulness. That they will look around them and see all of the many gifts you have given us; not just physical gifts like family, house, food, but also love, laugher, and grace. Lord thank you for the promises you give us and the hope we have in you.
Join me in praying for our children’s hearts, that they will be creating a heart that reflects Jesus.
