Wisdom for My Husband

unnamed-1

James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

I believe my husband is a very wise man, a godly man and a hard working man; however, I am dedicated to contiuning to pray for this quailities in him. I am also dedicated to teaching my kids for pray for daddy as well.

I remember a story my mother-in-law told me about when her kids were younger and they would pray for her husbands work together as a family. Darren (my husbands) dad is self employed and when Darren was young his father started his business. As with many self-employed businesses the beginning from scratch can be hard, require a lot of work, and prayer. My MIL said they would sit around the table and pray that work would come in for the business, especially when there was no work on the books that day. The BEST part of the story she told was when her husband got home he say, “STOP PRAYING (in joke) I had so much work today, too much for just me to do :)”

The Power of Prayer, it is a real thing! I want to be purposeful and specific when I pray for my husband. I would like to focus my best on praying for him to have wisdom at work. That while he is a work he can feel Gods wisdom guiding him in his pursuits and discussion making.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you would be with my husband as he is at work. Please give him wisdom in his pursuits, discussion making, and words as he is at work. Speak through him. Allow my husband to work as though he is working for you in all that he does.

Join me as we pray for our husbands, pray that they will have wisdom at work. For Gods word says, “you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
